  Professional Development

Our very own Cross Country University (CCU)-the only one of its kind in the travel health care industry-is fully accredited, and committed to your professional development.

As an Assignment America nurse you will participate in a Clinical Development Program that has been specifically designed for international nurses by Cross Country University (CCU). The Clinical Development Program will provide you will the tools to prepare for your U.S. assignment -- it will introduce you to the U.S. healthcare system and its administration and the role and responsibilities of a U.S. registered nurse, among other professional topics. Upon successful graduation of the Clinical Development Program, you will be awarded a certificate of achievement from CCU.

You can also meet your CE requirements with CCU, which provides independent studies, seminars, videos, workshops, and other multimedia learning formats through the Center for Continuing Education. Courses are tailored to accommodate working nurses-so you can continue your education and enrich your career while you're on assignment anywhere in the country.

You can even earn your BSN or MSN in a self-paced, distance-learning program through the Center for Undergraduate Studies in partnership with Excelsior College's Project Learn. CCU also provides its own academic advisor to help nurses develop an educational plan that fulfills the BSN requirements of Excelsior College.
