U.S. State Boards of Nursing Licensure Application
All nurses who wish to practice
in the United States must pass the National Council Licensure Examination
for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), a computerized, multiple choice
examination designed to test knowledge, skills, and abilities essential
to the safe and effective practice of nursing.
In order to be eligible to sit the NCLEX exam, you
must submit a licensure application through one of the U.S. state
boards of nursing, which will perform a comparative education assessment
to ensure that your nurse training meets the standards of nurse
training models in the United States. The State Board of Nursing
will require your school of nursing to forward a copy of your transcript
and a course description outlining the syllabus or curriculum of
your nurse training studies. Upon approval of your nursing education,
the State Board of Nursing will notify the Educational Testing Service
(the test administrator), which will issue you an Authorization
to Test (ATT) for the NCLEX.
Assignment America will provide you an application
form for RN licensure and help you complete and submit the licensure
application.
